i was at my dead girlfrends house in the garage. she was alive but i felt that she had been gone and she was not coming back or would not stay.

You miss her and are possibly trying to relive your old experiences you had with her. In trying to keep up with the pace of your daily waking life, your dreams serve as your only outlet in coping and coming to terms with your loss.
That fact that your in the garage either means that something important happened in their with her OR you are having a period of inactivity in your life; you feel that you have no direction or guidance toward achieving your goals, which makes sense.
