I have been a lifelong (30 years) fan of All my Children, One Life to Live, and General Hospital

I agree that ABC has the best soaps. OLTL and GH are my absolute favorite. Their characters and story lines have to beat out all the other competition. I've tried watching the other networks and cannot get through even the first 10 minutes of their shows. ABC has more of a family feel to their soaps and I love that. The character seem like family. My husband thinks that I am crazy for watching but it is like visiting with a friend every time I turn on my tv.

Young and the Restless! It is the BEST soap ever! Other soap operas Ive watched like Days of Our Lives and Passions are just too phony. I probably just think that because Ive been watching Y&R since I was little!
Whats OLTL and AMC?

I like General Hospital the best, but my second fave is OLTL. That's the one my mom always used to watch.

OLTL has always been my favorite. I have been watching it since 1980 ( I was 10) and now my daughter (who is 16) is watching with me.

My mom has watched Y&R for years, and so I've been exposed to it for years! My mom and I live in different states and I record it every day just incase I can't watch it...so, when my mom misses one I fill her in. Lol, its definitely a topic of our phone conversations!lol
So...Y&R all the way, I've tried to watch the other ones but they just seem a lot more fake.

Days of Our Lives. My mother, father, grandmother, and wife have watched as long as I can remember. I don't care about the ratings. It's still the best soap around!

I watch Y&R, B&B and GH. I like GH because their story lines tend to move faster than the other ones and B&B is so short that it tends to be over before you really get into the show.
