If thats what you want then good luck getting there! It is extremely hard to get an acting career and be famous. the people who do are pretty much extremely lucky and actually have the money to do it. drama club and school is a good thing. Stick with it. going into high school you could audition for your schools big musical or plays. If you want to do more look for community theatre. participate in stuff outside of school maybe a tour group is near by and you can audition or go to an after school acting organization.

Here's an idea. try a little modesty. You have a miriad of ideas offerred above and several of them are quite good, except they leave off some important details. Most community theatres do not have roles for 13 yr olds. You need a community youth theatre in which to participate. But you still haven't proven your self in high school (or middle school for that matter)..So why not start by being a good actor in school drama, then (and perhaps simultaneously) expand to community youth theatre, then to professional acting classes. Oh, yes, wouldn't hurt to learn something about acting on the way, I have a recommended reading list (short and useful). You could use a mentor, which is what I am. I quide young actors toward a career for free. If you are interested click on my name and read my profile and write to me at my aol address.

Join the local community theater groups, local dinner theater groups, etc. I began acting at the that age and all through high school and into colllege but stayed in the community groups. It is better to take non-college acting classes since they are more 'real' and are not a bunch of people looking for a college credit. I have been acting professionally in theater, movies and TV for almost 30 years and am not "famous" but make a very good living from it.

Get involved with an area drama group, the kind that put on plays like summer stock or local theatre.

Some of your larger cities have casting agents go get hooked up with them. Caution it may cost some money for Pictures, and etc....
Hope to see you in something soon.
