I'm curious how Senator Craig got nailed for propositioning someone in a toilet. Why would anyone be thinking of sex in a disgusting toilet, why would cops set up a sting operation in a toilet, and has it become a crime to proposition someone to have sex?

Yes it is illegal to proposition someone to have sex in a public toilet for obvious reasons. That is not to say it doesn't go on regardless. It has been going on for many, many years. Particularly at bus/rail/airport locations where there is a high traffic area. Remember George Michaels (singer) was caught in a public restroom a few years ago?
It is a public place used by men/boys of all ages. Many find it offensive or disturbing to be solicited in such a place.
Enough said, the man is guilty.

Probably because this sort of thing has been going on for a long time, and the cops had probably cause where Sen. Craig was concerned. Same with George Michael back in the day.

Kids have to use those toilets too. I've heard stories of men having sex in public restrooms and little kids walking in on them.

Entrapment.
They were waiting for someone to violate another person's space.
There may have been some complaints about that area so that's why they had an undercover officer there.
From what I gather the contact was not solicitation, it was more of incidental contact.

Sex in your poop shoot=toilet? The gay culture is still locked into the closet of secrecy and it is seemingly safer to elicit sex away from the public eye. The anus is an exit not an entrance and that cannot be denied.

apparently, there are locations reknowned for being "fishing" spots, where these guys will hook up.
would you want your little boy to see some of this activity?
