i have to write a "first impression" essay for my teacher. she wants to know about my interests, favorites, sports...ect...how do i write a good hook/intro paragraph for this? my two main bodies are about myself(interests) and my goals...thanks a lot guys!!

Once again, I have to pick myself up. Legs keep whizzing past me, but no one stops to help. Sometimes I think I might have to give up soccer, or skateboarding, or surfing.
You need to make the person who is about to read your essay to want to read more just to find out what you are talking about. You need to hook them, just like the TV news hooks you and goes to a commerical without telling the whole story.
