Okay, just yesterday a friend of mine called me up to ask if I wanted to go to the carnival with her. I was a bit surprised because her and I haven't talked to each other in quite awhile. I became REALLY offended when she said "Well, I asked my other friends if they wanted to go with me, but they were all busy. So I called you." How does she not realize that this offends me? She called EVERYONE ELSE before me. I was her last choice.
And a few days ago I called another friend of mine to see if she wanted to hang out this weekend. She claimed she'd be busy and couldn't. Then she called earlier today and she's like "I'm not calling to hang out because my friend is here, but I had to ask you something." (It was just a simple question, unimportant.) But I'm getting really annoyed! What is wrong with me? I don't get why they feel they can say this to me and think it's okay!

They are just rude people not really your friends think of them as acquaintances.

That was very...b***hy of her. You dont need friends like that. She was trying to rub your face in the fact that shes too cool for you and you were the last resort.
DITCH THEM! Find friends that really appreciate you and want to be around you. Ask some people at scool that youve never really talked to, to hang out with you or go to the movies with you or something. Meet new people, and more importantly, have fun.

You are right, that is EXTREMELY rude! I would have said something like "Sorry, I've already found someone else to go with."
I think some people just start talking without thinking of how it will sound to the other person. Maybe it's time to find new friends.

Well u shouldnt let them know it gets to u cause once they know it it will get worse .And second they not much of a friend if they treat u like that .You got to put your foot down and dont let them do this to. You dont need them kind of friends . Good Luck
