i was never a fan of rap, but i did grow up when it was very very popular.. ive noticed however with my younger brother, all his friends are rock.. and people my age who listened to rap back in the day, now listen to alternative rock and even country!, i rarely see rap on tv anymore, and never hear it on the radio much.. is it dead or something?

Yeah, people still like "rap" although its hard to believe some of these songs today are considered rap. I like rock and alternative music, but I have to admit I still like Ludacris XD
And ya'know...there are still band like Linkin Park and I think Limp Bizkit that are rock thats mix some rap in with it, its they're style, I'm not really a fan of it though.
:)
But what I can't believe is how Rihanna, Nelly Furtado , Fergie, and High School Musical are popular...gag me.
:p

No, rap isn't dead! There's a thousand rock/metal songs with rap riffs in them! And I see real rap videos [not hip hop] all the time...
If anything is, Punk is dead!

The more I hear rap, the more I like disco. I didn't care for disco in its day, but it was faaaaar better than rap.
