Any explanation given pose 10 more questions!The mysteries are so many that entire civilisations disappear in the sands of time before they even scratch the surface. Makes me laugh when people come out with labels like -Gravity-
Just giving the Mysterious forces a name is not explaining it. Instead of Gravity you could have called a _Bannana_. Just giving it a name is not understanding it. Einsein had said mankind will never understand the real nature of things. As mentioned before every so called explanation poses 10 or 100 more questions.

Nothing. They are not held in space. Everything is moving around according to whatever is locally possible with long range parameters operating. The past is part of the present and the future. Kind of like human life.
