You won't get a separate license, but you are required to take a driver's test on your motorcycle, and an M classification is added to your regualr driver's license if you pass.

It would be an endorsement on your existing license, not sure about mopeds in Maine. Oklahoma everything above 49CC's requires an endorsement.

Many states require an endorsement for motorcycles. the best bet is to call your local DMV and ask.

You need an additional grade to your license. Log on to your local DMV to read the book and schedule a test then once you pass they add the grade to your license.

It looks like you need an endorsement in order to ride legally. I know that in RI I had to take a course to receive mine. Your DMV website for Maine has everything listed. (see below)
