It is being completely forthright in conversation. "heart to heart" means one on one, to me.

Jodie, it means that when you and another person are talking that you are both very open and honest about whatever you are talking about. That is usually a very sensitive subject from sex to something that hurt you (emotional) to dreams you don't want everyone to know about.
When you sit quietly and talk with your friends that is usually a heart-to-heart talk, for you expect what you say to be private, not shared, and that the other person will listen and not make fun of you regardless of what you say.
Heart-to-heart talks with your parents can be very important and helpful, especially if you have something that is really bothering you.

To speak with someone you trust in an open, honest and nonjudgmental way. For example if you wanted to know what to expect on your wedding night you would have a private talk with your mom or another trusted married friend so you could get words of comfort and support before the day. Hello, It's the kind i like to have...it's the set down over coffee no body else around just us, and get really "intimate" with each other with "words" expressing our interests and desires, likes and dislikes, on a real personal basis. chin in hand, eye ball to eye ball. no lies, and you know the person you are talking with can be trusted, and you can trust them too. It's the coolest thing in the whole world..the kind of conversations that "bind" two hearts into "one", best friends are made of discussions like this. they are with one who is truly interested in you because you are you and for no other reason. Because i like you and you are my Friend! We enjoy each others company, it's like a "soul mate" but not in a married sence....and they are your Friend......lol....
