im wondering what an emulator is.... and for the snes emulator on the game mario paint, how do you controll? also plz answer what the mircosoft contollers for your computer are for.and for PS2 do you download the games to a cd?

1. An "emulator" is a piece of software that "emulates", or pretends that it is a video game console or computer, so that it can play games or use programs written for that device.

2. I believe that the "good" SNES emulators (Snes9X and ZSNES) use the computers' mouse to emulate the "SNES mouse".

3. The Playstation 2 uses DVDs almost exclusively, not CDs.

4. Downloading games is illegal.

5. The emulator can use what are called ".iso" or ".bin" images. These are copies of the game disc that can be stored on a computer. The emulator can also use real game discs inserted into your PC's CD/DVD drive.
