As long as you feel threatened you are justified in using deadly force in your own home - not only because of the old "castle doctrine", but the new - recent law that was passed. Just don't shoot them in the back as they're fleeing - as the threat would be gone at that time and you would have a serious issue with that. The way the law views it, you could not feel threatened by a person fleeing unless he's armed and could still turn around and shoot at you or something like that.

I was burgled 3 times. The police (of whom I am a supporter) did very little and did not impress me. My daughter pointed out who the 3 thugs were who burgled me. By chance they were harassing a neighbour, an old man aged 75, so I saw this as my chance and gave each one a good smacking, saying - "I aint old I hit back and this is for fuxxing burgling my house" . I saw them a few days later they were very friendly and very respectful. Years later I know the same lads to have grown into decent hard working young men with wife and children.

I think you just need to warn them first. Like point the gun at them and tell them to leave or ask why- what if they're breaking into use the phone bc someone outside crashed- i know it's out there but it's possible. Warn then shoot. If they have a gun shoot the leg or arm- don't shoot to kill.

You don't just blow someone away because they break your door in. Who knows, maybe they're a mental case, or escaping from an attacker or drunk or lost or maybe just a stupid kid. The price of a door is nothing compared to the price of a life. Your house isn't sacred, it's still connected to this earth that we all share. Even if you own it outright, you only own the rights to be there for a while..

In Florida, if you feel threatened at your house in any way, you have the right to protect yourself. It is self defense. And if you go to court for it, the jury will probably stick up for you as long as your case is plead right.

It depends on where you live. We can use deadly force wherever we feel that our life is threatened here in FL. Go to the NRA website for more info.

you definitely dont have to wait until he starts taking action. The second hes in your home open fire, who cares what state your in. You can argue with the judge later. Its better than getting killed yourself eh?
