like you are trying your best to be friendly but no matter how hard you try all your efforts amount to nothing, nada, zilch!

sometimes it happens when the other person is going thru something in their own life. Try to think positive about yourself and look around to see if you can meet other people to talk with. that should help you.

Well Jimmy, this is 2007 not the 50 's 60's 70's 80's or the 90's people just don't care that much anymore, look what is going on in the world today, there is to much hate in this world that people just don't know what to do, look at 9/11/o1 we are still living it and we don't know what's next, and no matter how we deal with it, people are not that friendly that much. We can try to be nice and friendly that's all we can do.

Just remember one thing...That everything that you say and do is a direct reflection off of you....Sometimes it is hard for others to let go of their pride...Other times they just do not care for help even if it is with good intentions...And then some do not care for friendliness...They tend to think that you want something in return...If it was upto me ....I would get in touch with someone who does volenteer work...They are able to be more friendly and the could teach you how to read someones mood better...I can only hope that what I said makes sense because I was the same way...I was trying to be friendly and help the people that I knew and in the end they ended up telling me to mind my own business...It stinks I know....ANd I am sorry that there are people out there that do not value people like yourself that just want to be friendly and help others...Godd luck and I do hope that all goes well for you...

Hi; Well it seems that i have had the same problem. After sometime of trying to be friendly I just leave them alone except to speak and be friendly for a brief moment . I'm never rude I just go about my way and leave then alone. More than once i've had them come around.

That is not true. Sometimes we may feel our efforts go unnoticed. But being good and nice is never a bad way to be. Sometimes it takes people longer to realize the good from the bad. Every time you are nice to people you are planting a seed. you are making a difference even though you cant See it. Keep up the good work! Bless you!

You know, I've tried just that. Being nice to someone that doesn't care for me at all. The thing is, not everyone is going to like you. The most important thing is that you tried. And that you just be a happy friendly person, even if they openly say "I don't like you." Just keep a sense of humor about it.
When I know that someone doesn't like me, I go out of my way to be nicer to them. Not because I want them to like me. But because I know its annoying for them. And it makes them look bad when they act like a jerk when you are just being nice.

Not everyone likes everyone, that's just life I'm afraid. There's people I don't like and I'm sure there are plenty that don't like me, the trick is to live with it and be happy with those that like you for being yourself. Real friends are hard to come by, make the most of what you have!

Some people are just like that. They aren't used to people being nice to them. I sometimes have that problem with people and most of the time they just don't like me. It sucks!

There's just no pleasing some people,it's just the way they are,thats life I suppose.
Some people judge others without even knowing or speaking to them,thats so sad.
It costs nothing to be civil.

I know exactly what you mean!
There are so many arrogant people out there.
I always find girls to be less friendly then men.
