The pricetag on it is $346, by the way.

I already have a monitor.
I already have a printer.
I may buy a new keyboard/mouse separate.. but I have those, too.

I was just thinking about going with this, rather than through Dell or something, because with the same specifications, the price on Dell would be somewhere around $600 or $700.

Well, can someone direct me to a site where I can get a computer with these specs in the price range of $500 or less?

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+
2GB DDR2
200GB hard drive or better

For the basics. ^

I don't need a monitor included, or keyboard/mouse. OS can be optional.

you didn't mention the price. sounds like a barebones kit. check ebay for similar kits and see if priced the same. you will need to add OS, sound card, ethernet .....all of which can be purchased pretty inexpensively. I would buy for under 70 dollars
Edit: not having an OS severly discounts the system. Try ebay for much better deals. You can get a similar system including OS for around 150-200.

Do you need a printer? Installing your own OS might be a big chore. Wouldn't you be better off buying from HP, Compaq, or Dell on line?

Something like this might be ideal for setting up as a Linux box, especially if you get a free distribution with online support like Ubuntu. The one thing I might be concerned about is the mobo, since eMachines, for example, tends to use pure crap for theirs.

There is NO "Monitor", "Keyboard", "Mouse" included in that price..

Also, it is assembled too.. go for DELL.. you can configure it online according to your requirement.
