I've always wondered this. And since the world tilts, wouldn't the south. hemisphere get winter when the northern hemisphere has summer?

Yes, you are correct. When it is Winter in Europe then it is Summer in Austrailia. This also means that Christmas is during the Summer south of the Equator.

what i think the reason of it is inclination or earth axis like whilst earth axis in this sort of vogue that northern hemisphere is in the direction of the sunlight and southern opposite thn northern hemisphere could journey greater warmth and subsequently summers there and winter in southern hemisphere as this is plenty aside yet in equatorial areas the displacement isn't plenty as this is in centre of axis no there's slightly exchange in seasons there.
