No, not really. If it is your first time, I would advise CALLING Disney (not using the website) to book a package, if you plan on staying on-site. The website has some quirks, and sometimes things will look like they are full when they really aren't.

Advantages to staying on-site (in a Disney-owned hotel on the property): Disney offers "Extra Magic Hours" to their resort guests only. This is one extra hour in the morning and three extra hours at night, rotates between parks. If you are flying, you can use Magical Express service. Disney meets you at the airport and picks you and your bags up and takes you to your hotel (for free!).

And there's no need to rent a car, because Disney transportation will take you anywhere on the park. Or you might want to rent a car for only a day or two for off-site exploring. So if you want to stay on Disney, you can book through them.

Advantages to staying off-Disney property - if you have a large group or need extra space, you can rent bigger rooms for cheaper. I always rent a house from http://www.allstarvacationhomes.com

There are also Disney specialists travel agents who can help you book.

And here is an excellent link to all things Disney:

Nope. To get the most out of it, I would definitely recommend staying on Disney property. Most convenient thing you can do. Once you arrive, you do not get back in your vehicle until you leave. The onsite transportation is great (and free) especially with gas prices.

Birnbaum's really helps. It's the best guide I've found to learn of all the new things Disney has to offer.

It's a great vacation and Disney makes it easy for you to do! Enjoy!!!

Its very easy to book a WDW vacation. Take a look at the Disney website for all they have to offer, i recommend staying on property at a Disney resort, it really isnt more expensive than staying off property and its much easier. There are a lot of benifits to staying on property also. Once you have an idea of when yopu want to go and where you want to stay call Disney to book your trip, ask about discounts when you call. They will help you set everything up and you will have a great time.

No its super easy, You can do it all on-line through Disney.com or you can call one of there agents and they can help you. On the website, you can plan everything, your room, your tickets and now even your AIRLINE tickets. You can also get numbers for Disney Dinning and make your priority seating's at the restaurants you would like to go to! You can also check the schedules for all the parks to see open and closing times and see what fun things are going to be going on while your there!

No not at all. I do it online...disneyworld.com. It's really easy. You can even make payments to your reservation. You just have to have the reservations paid in full 45 days before your trip. Good luck and have fun. I leave Nov 26 for Disney.

Not if you book it early enough in advance. It also depends on what hotel you want to stay at, and what type of room you want.

The most easy way to do it is to just call them yourself, don't waste time with a travel agent.

You can try making yourself a package online by visiting expedia and travelocity but I think travel agents can make sure everything is organized etc. for you.

The Bottom link is the page on travelocity for Disney =)
