It is hard to single out a particular class, I had so many good classes. I guess the two memorable classes I can recall were by Lous Van Amstel. He is very good at connecting to his audience, I think. Once you're connected to Louis, he makes you dance and he makes you work hard. He was teaching us how to "sell" your dance, how to show the best what you have. He taught us the formula how to work on your own dancing without constant supervision, how to focus on different aspects without a coach constantly staniding over you.
In general sence - ballet and gymnastics gave me a good foundation for a quick start in ballroom. But by now, I think their effects are minimal.

A solid base in ballet technique is the best to improve your dancing. I would probably say that a Russain- based technique will help the most overall... with strength, fexibility, turns, and overall technique.

Defiantly ballet. You may not realize it, but ballet is in all types of dance, and can help you in sports, too. Ballet helped me gain grace and poise. It also helps me to stand straighter and keep my head up, giving me a major confidence boost. It's helped me in other classes, too, like tap, jazz, and pointe. In tap, I'm able to tap dance in heeled tap shoes and in jazz, my turns are cleaner and my jumps are graceful and light. Ballet is for sure the best class to improve your dancing in!

Ballet.
Ballet is the backbone, foundation and discipline of all other forms of dance. It's what teaches the body right and wrong. If you want good technique take ballet it will only benefit your other styles of dance.

Definetly ballet. You learn skills that you can apply in other classes, especially in jazz.
