Does anyone have any feedback from Ravens country? What are the Ravens saying about their new TailBack? Is he going to produce for Fantacy football?

This was just discussed on "Mike and Mike". The problem with McGahee is that he simply is not a great running back but only a good one. And, with no other major threat, plus an average offensive line, defenses are going to smother him.

I used him last year and was very disappointed. He didn't produce nearly as many points that I thought he would. This year, he didn't go until the third round.

McGahee never was any good. The only defense I hear of him was that Buffalo's oline was bad, but it seems to me that Travis Henry had no trouble producing behind that line a few years ago, and, indeed, as the offensive line rarely changed under Donahoe(besides being inept in pass protection) I find ti hard to believe that the offensive line figured significantly in his mediocrity. Same goes for supporting cast: when our offense came on last year, it wasn't led by McGahee's rushing(or A-Train's, for that matter) but by the arm of JP Losman, and even when McGahee returned, our offense was about as one-dimensional as Marino and the Phish were.

When McGahee was traded, he responded classlessly(as expected) and the Ravens talked him up, calling him explosive, saying he had good hands, etc. which just made me laugh. Have they watched any tape of him playing in the NFL? He can't catch or block, he's lazy, and he has very little of the burst he had before he famously blew out his knee. Plus, he's convinced he still has that burst: he plays like a speed back, but he's in a power back's body. In other words, he looks eerily reminiscient of one Ron Dayne. Looks big, plays small. He will be a disappointment for the Ravens, and maybe the national media will finally realize he's a mediocre running back that is massively overhyped when he puts up his same sub-4.0 per carry average in a market they watch once and a while....

he will be better then jamal but the only thing that will stop him is the limited O-line. so if you can get him find out how good the O-lines health is & if their going agains a good D-line. but he is more elusive & can do more damage then just downhill running like jamal did.

He's pretty good at making illegitimate children. I'm not sure that he has the intensity and desire it takes to be a top RB.

he's gonna have pretty good season...he has enough speed to cut the outside and gain positive yardage.
