I am not going to say that you're insane, nor am I going to say that you are any different than so many young girls. I am sure you are well aware that you should weigh 100# at 5'0" and add 5# per inch. So, a healthy body weight for you would be around 145-150#. I understand this may seem like a lot, but it is necessary for your heart, your body's metabolism, your menstrual cycle, etc. to perform at their best. A body that believes it is starving will shut down vital metabolism and steal from your muscles and bones in order to survive. I love running, and I, myself am thin (at 5'3" and 110# - which, if you do the math, is a healthy body weight for me). I stay thin by eating 4-6 meals a day (around 2000 calories), and running around 3 miles a day. This is ideal because my body is at it's metabolic best! You will not lose any more weight by eating only once a day and running more...simply because your body is in survival mode and will tightly hold on to every single calorie. Run a little less...eat many small meals in a day and try to keep your calories up around 1800-2000 each day, especially at that mileage. And, lastly, before you go to bed each night, look at your self in the mirror and say "I am worth being strong and heathy. I am beautiful."

Eating one small meal a day is unhealthy and slows your metabolism. You will put your body into starvation mode which will make you gain all the fat back and more so once your off the diet. You should be eating 5-6 small meals a day to stay healthy and increase your metabolism. Its also a good idea to take a multi-vitamin. Drink alot of water. Eating breakfast helps boost your metabolism. What your doing is very unhealthy and in the end you will be fatter then before, unhealthy, have less muscle(slowing your metabolism down).

hmm.. personally, i think you are way too thin for your height, but i guess you're not asking for our opinion bout that, huh?

i suggest, you eat well in the morning, it's true (and you've probably heard this a million times before), BREAKFAST is the most important meal of the day. try to have wole-grain cereal with fresh fruit, with low-fat/non-fat milk, with juice. but don't neglect lunch either. eat a lot of small(er) meals throughout the day, this will help to increase your metabolism, and include as much fiber and protein in your diet.

try to avoid white bread and pasta (try whole-wheat pasta), you don't have to shy away from carbs, but concentrate in better ones, like whole-wheat or whole-grain food products.

WATER is also crucial, since you're running all the time. avoid sodas, or any caffeneated drinks, and opt for fresh fruit juices (make sure it's low in sugar).

You're too thin now...no one in good conscience could recommend ways for you to become even more unhealthy.

Eat some food dear...skinny isn't pretty or healthy. You should weigh 135 - 139 and that's if you have a small frame (higher if you have a med or large).

Take care of you. You only get one body in this lifetime...don't abuse it because someone told you thin was 'in'.

Eat and enjoy yourself. I am 5'9". Throughout my adulthood until I had a child I was 115 lbs naturally. Now I naturally weigh only 5 lbs more. I am still skinny. You are SKINNY. Don't lose anymore weight. It would be too dangerous. You are considered underweight now. EAT!!!! Please talk with someone and get some help. Remember you are tall. You have to have some meat on your bones. Get some help please.

You are underweight as it is..... your ideal weight is between 129-142 depending on your frame size.

Also, you need to eat! Eat some sandwiches.....

Seriously, you need to talk to you health care provider about your weight. They might suggest that you talk to a nutritionist or a counselor....especially if you are having body image issues.

I'd suggest you go to see a doctor, because it sounds like you have an eating disorder and a distorted body image.

It sounds like for your height your weight is just fine where you are at. I'm not sure why you feel like you need to lose any weight. If you're having self-esteem issues you may need to seek help from a counselor.

I'd suggest you get some self esteem. There is nothing wrong with your current weight and your described behavior certainly fits an eating disorder pattern. I think some counseling is in order.
