I've just helped one of the little chaps down and told him that he won't find anything nutritious on me .... He thanked me and went on his way to find a nice juicy smaller beetle.

He didn't want to go and came back, sat on my shoulder and smiled at me.

i know its silly because they wont do you any harm but i would probably freak shake my head wildly then chase after it with my spider catcher then return it to its own environment in the garden ...and have strong words with it telling him/her that my home is out of bounds ..i wouldn't hurt it though i believe it was a little Buddha person waiting to be reincarnated ...

One of the last times I was on a bus was at the age of 16. The woman infront of me had a mass of black curly hair which sat just on her shoulders. I almost fainted when a big black beetle crawled out of her hair, wandered around her shoulders and down her back before going back into her hair. It traumatised me!

I don't think setting my hair on fire would help.
How big was this beetle ever?
I'd just brush it off. It can find its own way home. You shouldn't squash them (that's murder!) because they smell awful.

A beetle is nothing. I'd be more concerned if there was a tic or a flea!

Its happened to me before. And, at that time i was performing on a stage. A big black beetle landed on my hair.. I screamed 'eeeeeeeee' on the stage.. and everyone had a good laugh.. It was a disguting mean creature though, smelling horrendous...

*thinks* hmmmm ..... probably jump due to being startled by it crawling in my hair... then begin to flail my arms about smacking myself in the head to get it out.... LOL...... then, turn my head upside down and tousle my hair until it flew away.....
*sighs* embarrassing, but honest.

i doubt i'd of maintained the level of calm that you did! lol.
I'm not afraid of bugs.... i just don't want them crawling on me lol especially in my hair...... !
