I don't dance. Everytime I've attempted anything that even remotely looked like a dance (even just swaying to the music) I've been laughed at, but that's not the point here. Personally, I like how expressive dancing is, but I'm not able to be that expressive myself.

Anyway, my female friend is on the Salsa team at school, but whenever she performs I get really upset and agitated. Salsa dances, particularly in our school, are generally very sensual, so perhaps that's what upsets me? It doesn't help that I have a small crush on this girl AND that I'm completely committed to my girlfriend AND that we used to be best friends before we drifted apart because of drama with our friends.

Does anyone have an idea what's going on in my head? (I don't, that's for sure.) And what can I do to work my way around this?

And is this even the right category?

I don't think I'm in LOVE with her. And I'm seriously committed to my current girlfriend... Plus my Salsa friend would probably be bad girlfriend material (she has the teenage rebellion thing going on). I think I might have had more than just a crush on her before, but not anymore.

Well, how about you just stay away from her, and not attend any assemblies where she would be performing? If you can't control your emotions, the can get out of hand, and you will be in trouble for obsessing over her. You're just going to have to deal with the fact that her life is separate from yours, and that what was no longer is.

You might have a slight crush, but I'm leaning more towards the fact that you two have a childhood history together. Even if you possessed feelings then, they may not still be over. I think it's just a case of jealousy. Sounds rough but, subconsciously you may still have slight feelings, and seeing her be happy and being sensual toward others (in dance as well) is probably sparking that up. If it bothers you that much, I would try and stay away from her during these times. Especially if you are 'super' committed to your current girlfriend. You don't want her to get upset about this, even if there is nothing to get upset about. Do you normally feel this way when she has a boyfriend, or goes on a date? I wouldn't stress on this too much.. eventually, these feelings will pass. Remember you still have a lot of growing to do. Do it with your gf, and try and forget about this other girl, Especially if it's becoming a problem!

You're just being carried away by emotions. Sure, you have an inside desire to be able to dance as well, and your salsa friend seems to seduce you. But all this are rooted to the fact that you are watching her. You have to believe me comrade, you will always have crush on anyone you observe and admire closely. And that salsa friend is just one of those girls that happened to be included.

Number one rule. Stay clear to madam salsa and be committed to what you already have.

I think in stead you should take salsa lessons out side of school on your own, when your confidence is up in regards to your dancing skills you should then take thoughts same lessons with you girlfriend.

I think your primary dilemma is with your sexual frustration not the dance.

Sleep with your pants on ontil you grow up. We don't want any little kids running around with no visible dad.

sounds like you have a bad case of loving your special lady friend.

Now what are you going to do about it

You could ask her to teach you to dance!!!!

Good luck
