wow guys, way to shoot this poor girl down.

The first thing you need to do is to check with the Athletic Department at your High School and see if they allow girls to play on the boys team (they most likely won't). Girls need special pads to protect, um....assets that boys dont have, and your high school probably does not have the proper pads.

If they wont let you play on the boys team. Ask them if you can organize a girls team. This is usually called Powder Puff football (I'm not too particulary fond of the name). You can either have the Freshman and Sophmores play against the Juniors and Seniors or see if your athletic director will contact the athletic director from your rival high school and organize a game (this is when it gets fun).

Good luck!!!

You've never played organized tackle football before and you want to play on your high school team and you are a girl? I'd say forget it, save the wear and tear and pain on your body, you don't stand a chance of being anything more than a side show.

Strength train and build up your endurance. Don't worry about skills until you are trying out.
