we have VERY similar bloodlines...im hot, even hotter now than when i was young, so that may have alot to do with diet exercise attitude etc.

but seriously, how old are you? why do you give a (what do the brit's say? shag? I like f*ck myself) what these people think?with all the racial strife in the world, if they treat you like one of there own, thats a blessing! take it as a point of open conversation...use it as a way to educate. seriously with all due respect...rise above and set the example!

Well, the problem is, that you must have a British accent, and if you do, then all that meet you are going to percieve you as British, of course..if you don't want to be percieved as British, I would suggest that maybe you lose the accent, or try to learn a new one?..Or try to disguise your British accent, and perhaps learn to speak French for instance, fluently..that would help I am sure! Others would never know you were from Britain

It sounds like your appearance does not make your race and nationality apparent to others. This is not anyones fault. It also sounds like you have a problem with being perceived as something other than your actual race and nationality. I am left to wonder what the big deal is. We are all people of different races and nationalities. Be yourself and be with others who you like and respect and who like and respect you and forget about the nonsense.

This is a stupid question. Go back to France if you're so ashamed to be labelled British. You sound like a troll.

Does it matter what they perceive you as? If it's a serious problem, tell them where you were born and your racial identity, it's not a big deal.

you're complaining about fitting in? wow, i know a lot of people from other countries who work hard to perfect their accent and are insecure about looking different... the people who you're close to will know about your unique cultural diffrences but why do you complain about fitting in and not having to worry about discrimination with the general public?

Think yourself lucky that you are not being discriminated against - (for goodness sake don't tell any Brits you have French connections -lol).

Be proud of who you are.

Would you rather be treated differently?
How one is treated should not be depended upon the race, nor should one expect a difference.

One of the good things about aging is you quit caring so much how people see you. Another thing, if it helps you, no one is really pondering your ethnic background.

Just accept the compliment and say "thank you"... It beats having them recognize you as a bloody AmeriKan.
