In control box Except some on control arm cover off shift an see what moves for the shift there will be a micro switch out of adj Or defective>?

aaahh! back to the stone-age again. well, let me think, probably in the remote control box. but, some older engines had a micro-switch behind the shift lever on the powerhead. if it's electric shift, i don't know.
