A man would never think he "deserves" the kind of selfish entitlements that the government gives to women. Yet women, who by and large do nothing for society except make babies (as long as a man is willing to impregnate them) FEEYUL they are owed everything in their lives by default just by virtue of having a vagina.

So where does this come from? Is it an inherent inferiority problem? Or is it based entirely on feminist ideology? I've noticed women from non-feminized countries do not have an entitlement complex which leads me to believe its a feminist thing.

Rebel F - "What are you talking about? Feminists don't think we deserve anything more than men...but we do think that we deserve everything men are entitled to, namely equal rights, equal pay, and equal treatment. EVERYONE deserves these things. There's no entitlement complex about it, it's just common sense."

You want all these things without putting in the same work, effort, or behavioral requirements that men do. These things are earned. Slutty, bitchy, drama queens do not and should not receive these things.

*****, please. You're not special. If I share my "hunt" with you, I expect you to shut up and do as you're told because you owe your survival to me. If you dont like it, go starve or get passed around between all the beta males for scraps.

Why do you go out for the hunt in the first place, why do you bother to bring it back and not eat your hunt out in the fields where you captured your goods? It is for your desire of having a woman, and if you don't take care of your woman, another man, who is willing to flourish his new love with the best of his hunt will. Deserving as you believe you are, strong man, you'll be sleeping in the other cave, with the men who are single and are unwilling to share and appreciate the privilege of having a woman and children.
Perpetuation of the species is nothing the grind your canines on. Try starting a family on your own, or with your friend Bob. See what you come up with at the end of nine months? Outside of a fun time...? Thanks to cloning, women won't even need men to impregnate them. But, we really love men, more than words can tell, and little bitter letters like yours won't stop real men from appreciating the share and share alike fullness of a rich relationship with good women in their lives.

So your saying a man looking for a union gig is any different? Or a college grad with an IT degree who thinks he is gonna make 80K his first year out? Or a sports star who holds out on contracts so long he gets dropped in his second year because nobody wants him at that price. Or the guy in traffic, banging on his horn as if all those people and the accident down the road are all there specifically to impede HIM (even though he is already late).

As soon as any person truly understands what entitlement means, they tend to develop entitlement issues, to one extent or another. For example, you are obviously jealous of what you see as female entitlement. Does it make you wish you had a vagina, too? I know a good Thai surgeon who could help you out, real cheap. When his team is done, you'll look just like Sailor Moon.

First off, you and I both know that this is neither limited to women affected by feminism nor women period.

There are plenty of people who don't (and never will) pull their weight who think they should get all sorts of benefits for having done nothing.

That said, I sincerely believe that feminism has contributed to the problem of such selfish women, but only because it has influenced society in an impure form while "chivalrous" tendencies are still a part of the social code. Women who are part of the middle class or higher are able to take severe advantages of this. (Women of the lower classes, of course, generally cannot.)

It's not nearly as simple as saying "feminism" did it- feminism is only partly to blame. The question of how much we should blame on it is difficult to answer. If all women were really feminists, of course (not just picking and choosing) we would have far fewer problems.

The feminist movement, in its purest sense, is only looking for equal treatment for women in the eyes of the law and employment. As women did not have the same 'rights' throughout much of history, there had to be what could be deemed as 'special treatment' put into place in order for them to reach the same level as men.

There are women, however, who are not feminists and feel this sense of entitlement to which you refer. They are selfish and self centred individuals who feel that, because they are women, they deserve 'special treatment'. This is in no way part of the feminist movement - its a bastardization of it.

I think quite a few groups of people and organizations receive entitlements from the government, including both men and women. Actually I think poor and rural Americans (both men and women) get the least for their tax dollars:

-For those that live in middle-class or wealthy neighborhoods, your children will have a better school, better teachers, better books, better materials than those that live in blue-collar or lower-class neighborhoods, even though you are all paying your taxes
-If you grow up in rural or urban areas, often the only decent job available to you is the military. It is often the only way that you can get higher education, without being in debt for the rest of your life.
-Even though you pay your taxes, if you live in rural areas, you're less likely to have access to any healthcare, than those that live in surburban or urban areas
-If you want to serve in many of the combat roles in the military, you are not allowed to if you are a woman
-Corporations can pay workers with the same experience and education different wages and different benefits, if they call the jobs different names
-In a right-to-work state like I live in, an employer can fire you at any time, for any reason, no matter what your age, gender or race is.
-In the south, union busting is a way of life. If you want better working conditions in a chicken processing plant (so you are not crippled or burned alive), you won't get it in the south. There is no effort made to ensure workers are safe on the job in rural areas or small towns.
-If you are perceived to be gay or are gay, in the majority of US states, you can legally be fired for being gay, expelled from the military, and evicted from your home
-Large corporations receive government hand-outs (incentives) to move their companies, which usually rural communities and urban areas, as well as small business owners and the self-employed don't receive;
-Churches and non-profits don't pay taxes, like the rest of us

Quite a bit of entitlement goes on every day in the US. If you have money, you get the best. Even if you pay taxes and work every day of your life, if you're poor, or rural, you usually have the worst.

Not all women are like that. Women elsewhere differ widely from women in America. I blame a chivalry gone wrong excessive materialism and a competition mentality linked to materialism.

You live on another planet, I don't know what you're talking about. There are no special priviledges and rights.

I assume you're talking about hate crime legislation, which mandates higher penalties for attacking higher-risk communities. Did you know that 1 in 10 transsexuals will be murdered? Women are obviously far less at risk than that, but this is why hate crime legislation exists. A group is more likely to be the victim of violence not for the specific actions they may take, but merely who they are. And hate crime legislation is much bigger than just the women's movement, so be opposed to it if you want but you can't blame it on feminism alone.

Workplace discrimination laws protect men and well as women. I've read about plenty of men winning sexual harassment suits, and the more men come forward the more legal precedents will be set protecting them. The problem of course is that men are only flattered by all sexual advances, so even when they're totally innappropriate or threaten your job, men don't see why anyone would complain about them. We're different. And we're also here, with you...so you don't get to unilaterally decide what's OK for both sexes to put up with at work. You don't want to complain? Fine. I'll keep the legal protection, thank you.

Or maybe you're talking about how women get custody of the kids after divorce. Hey ladies, it's time for cheers and cartwheels! You HAD a husband, who you loved and thought you'd get old with, and also who helped mop up the vomit, get wriggling kids into bathtubs, run half the errands, maybe even cook dinner with you...and now you have...a check that arrives every month. PLEASE. No one gets married aiming to become a single mother. Even with a regular check (from a man we ASSUME would WANT to continue supporting his children, though you wouldn't know it from reading this board), it is several times harder than doing it all with a partner. Judges decide this way because child psychologists have said it is best for the KIDS. Remember the KIDS? Does it matter what is best for them, or is Daddy too obsessed with his bruised ego since he didn't get to beat Mommy up in court?

A rant for a rant--you're welcome.

Women have stopped doing nothing but making babies. Since then, we feel we deserve the exact same rights and freedoms as men, who don't have to worry about reproductive rights, balancing work and family, domestic violence, and simply getting respect the way we do.

Women are fragile creatures that need our help and support, let pity them instead of putting them down. They are going to need all the help they can get.
