Ichiro - yes, as long as he puts in the required 10 years minimum

Piazza - Yes, one of greatest hitting catchers all time, therefore can overlook his defensive flaws

Canseco - No, and not just because of the steriod issue. Homers are a dime a dozen nowadays, for many reasons beyond the steroid issue. And he was injured too much to really qualify in my opinion. If he could have sustained his early momentum he would have been a cinch.

Moise Alou - No. My standards are very high for HOF. You have to be a great player, not just a very good one, which is how I classify Alou. And he has unfortunately missed too much productive time with all the injuries.

David Wright - Too soon to tell. There aren't really that many 3rd basemen in the Hall, and early on, he stacks up favorably. If he sustains his current pace for at least another half dozen years or so, then probably yes.

Andy Pettitte - No. Good but not nearly good enough for Hall.

Sosa - Yeah, but I have real reservations because of the steroids and the fact that as I said earlier, homers are cheap now. Mostly due to the homer friendly dimensions of most of the current ballparks (believe me, I'm in my 50s and also have researched ballpark dimensions over the last century). Balls are livelier than ever, bats harder, pitching mound lowered from15 inches to 10 inches in late 60s, pitchers can't intimidate hitters anymore without getting tossed. Plus there's the"all or nothing" attitude of hitters - strikeout or homer. All this has conspired to make homers cheap. All that said, if Bonds is going in, then Sosa goes too.

Ichiro - YES.

Mike Piazza - YES.

Jose Canseco - NO.

David Wright - Too early to tell, probably in Cooperstown by the time he's done.

Andy Petttite - 75/50. The 75 being on Petttites hall of fame chances.

Sammy Sosa - 50/50. If he is convicted of using sterioids. NO!

Moises Alou - Yes.

Piazza and Sosa for sure. Wright, WAY to early to say. The rest, no. Ichiro is a possibility-lets see what he does in the next 4-5 seasons. It may be asking too much as hes 33 now, but if he can keep being a stud, getting his 200 hits a season and maintaining a high BA for the next 4 or 5 seasons, hes got a decent shot.

let me start off, first, by saying the BBWAA has gone crazy over these past few years, like the All-Star game votes I feel they vote on who they loved, to me it seems you can tell who will be in the HAll in the future based on how the media writes about them in the present, so going on that. and considering historic feats:
- Ichiro - of course
- Mike Piazza - for sure
- Jose Cansaco- no, he dug his own grave
- Moises Alou- no, he may have the his dads connection, but no
- David Wright- to early to tell
- Andy Petttite- no, he wont be in as a player, but will be mentioned along with the Late 90's Yankees
- Sammy Sosa

Ichiro-yes
Piazza-yes
Sosa- depends on how the steroids era and corked bat are perceived. Probably but not first ballot. They will make him sweat it out.

No on all of the others. Wright will have to keep it up for at least 10 to 12 more years to even be considered.

Ichiro -- probably; hasn't put in his ten years yet.

Piazza -- yes.

Sosa -- probably, but let's see how the scandal plays out. When does the bloodletting stem and be considered enough?

Wright -- far too early.

Canseco, Alou -- no. (Canseco is already off the writers ballot.)

Pettitte -- I doubt it, but he's not done yet.

Pujols, Thome, Jeter, and Rivera are patently locks, yet i do no longer think of Damon is a everyday pollHOF'er. i think of he will at last get in nevertheless. Halliday, i'm undecided approximately. and you forgot Omar Vizquel, Todd Helton, Ichiro and Chipper Jones. those 3 could desire to make it in, Vizquel beforehand than the others. As for Ortiz and Rodriguez, nicely i desire that the HOF committee could have morals and shun those 2 for his or her drug use. comparable is going for Clemens and Bonds and Sosa and McGuire and Manny Ramirez. besides, present day youthful gamers who could desire to be in the corridor, i think of Howard, Kemp, Felix Hernandez, Shin-Soo Choo, and Aroldis Chapman. i do no longer understand, this is merely too difficult to foretell destiny corridor of Famers beforehand of their careers
