There is still a *buzz* about these two. Do we even need them? Don't we have enough to choose from?

I'd like to see Newt get in and I think there's time. Same with Al, I suppose.

The issue is the ability of the candidates to raise the necessary support and both have plenty of name and face recognition, so it could be done.

For Gingrich, I think the answer is Yes.

He's been talking to Fred Thompson a lot and I think that he's given Fred a lot of his ideas and that Fred will run with them.

For Gore, maybe not. The Dems don't seem to like Obama (not enough experience) or Hillary (too many negatives) so that seems to leave space for someone.

Gore, with his cultish AGW following, could jump right into the race. A lot of his 2000 fundraisers would probably be willing to give it another go.

While I like Newt Gingrich, I hope he doesn't get in the race. I think he is still too polarizing a figure. I could care less if Al Gore gets into the race. I think he's sealed his fate as a presidential candidate with his global warming agenda.

We do have more than enough folk to choose from. Hey, the more the merrier, so why not add Al Gore and Newt Gingrich to the lot? Remember this, What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. - Peace and God Bless.

Why would the democrats need someone even sillier than Obama and Edwards cluttering up the race? There's always room for another fine statesman like Gingrich to add interest to the Republican contest, however. Giuliani, Thompson and Newt would all be good choices to defeat Hillary.

No they can enter. But Gore would be a waste of time, He couldn't even beat out Hillary, but Gingrich would bring a lot of people to the party again. Thanks for the question, and have a great day.

No, it isn't too late. Al Gore would just be wasting his time. Newt Gingrich would be an interesting addition to the debates because he is a history genius.

I think that people would wonder where they've been and why they avoided the spotlight and the debates. I don't think either would have a decent chance, and I also see Fred Thompson running out of steam really fast. As much as people are resisting it, it looks to me like Hillary and Rudy are headed for the big almost rematch (NY Senator, before Rudy pulled out for health reasons).

If it's almost too late for Fred Thompson, who's been campaigning unofficially for at least 6 months, it's too late for Gore and Gingrich.

It is not too late but unfortunately I think Gore is done with Politics. The system is so corrupted, and the tactics done during primaries are disgusting.
