my grandmother (i call her Nenek) and uncle are Indonesian. They have lived in America over 10 years now, though, and are the only Indonesians that I know. My grandpa (Big Daddy) is a Christian and my Nenek is Muslim. At a funeral they will have Muslim and Christian traditions. That's about as far as religion comes into it. My Nenek has a beautiful accent (she rolls all of her r's), is an awesome cook, can catch a fish with her bare hands, and was in something comparative to the Olympics when she lived in Indonesia. My uncle is great with children, he's on his way to becoming a doctor. He is also engaged to a beautiful young lady in Indonesia.

I'm with Ocean, and I think there are more christians there than the official percentages (more like 40%). I LOVE Indonesian food, bami goreng, rijstafel, etc. etc. I've met great people from there, they've all been Christians though. Bali is a place i've dreamed about visiting.
