Just keep your blogs set to *Friends Only*, and don't add anyone you work with.

Simple solution hon.

But yeah, I believe you CAN get into trouble for that. Even though you're just expressing your opinions about the people or situations at work, doing it in writing opens you up to issues. If someone says "that's a lie", they could technically take you to court for Libel (Defaming someone's character in writing which is available to the general public)

Just keep it private :)

I've heard that they can. You shouldn't post anything online that you wouldn't be willing to say at a staff meeting. I've also heard employers will check for you on MySpace after you come in for an interview, so drunken party pictures can make you look bad. I just read an article about employer spying in Readers Digest this month, you should check it out.

I'm interested in this question because in my blog I only talk about work. I don't mention names either but it's so obvious who I'm on about. But it's my way to clear my head after a crap day. I don't give my myspace to the people at work for this reason. I don't want to offend anybody but you know sometimes the people just get on your nerves.
I'll be watching this space for answers :D

Its ok to vent, but don't do it on a company computer on there time. I'm actually surprised your allowed access to it, companies have the right of control on there equipment and can take action against you. Do it on your on time and computer.
Best of luck

I do believe they can but I am not sure.

However if they do, they are more likely to do this if you are very new to a job - as this is the time when certain companys check these things.
