Not for him !!! I would imagine he and his family might find the timing quite inconvenient.
I hardly think it was all a setup to distract attention from Hillary's campaign contributions.
Senator Craig's demise was truly an Inconvenient Truth.

The incident happened over three months ago. It was sitting in the Clinton Secret Police file just waiting for the right moment to reveal it. The Clinton's have more private investigators looking into the backgrounds of all republicans, as well as all that data from the raw FBI files they stole while in the White House. It will probably be another ten years or so before America is finally free of these people and their smear campaigns.
I am sure they have more dirt to offset any news items that may be embarrassing to Hillary. This is one reason that even Democrats fear the Clintons. Stand by!

A sting is a sting is a sting. Forget your political allegiance, the guy was cruising for a BJ (maybe he was giving or maybe he was receiving, we'll never know). I personally don't care. And I sure don't get why anybody else would. When did the Republicans become the official "Hetero-Party" anyway?
More to the point. Senator William Jefferson was caught taking bribes! They found ninety grand in cash in his freezer! I have to Google him just to find an update on his case. Meanwhile, all the cable news channels keep replaying the audio from Craig's arrest. As one guy pointed out, sex sells. Treason just isn't as sexy.
I f I had to choose, I'd go for the cruising airport bathrooms for a quickie before I'd vote for a guy selling out his country to the highest bidder.
One more thing, nobody should try to defend either one of them. When a politician from either party gets caught breaking the law they should be publicly disgraced and punished according to their crime. The voters have the final say. What do you care more about? Your Senators sexual preference, or his self-serving greed?

No matter what is going on the mainstream media were going to attack the Republicans on this one. They always try to accuse Republicans of hypocrisy on family values but they themselves have no problem with no values at all so they can conduct the actions of a Bill Clinton, William Jefferson, Barney Frank, Ted Kennedy, etc since they are valueless. If one Republican of of millions is guilty the whole party is under attack but the democrats have thousands guilty.

I agree, most things with congress seem to be shelved until they are needed. I think we are looking at a good time between when this incident happened and when it saw the light of day. WAG THE DOG baby!!
Also sex sells??? give me a break that sting was piss poor. If they really wanted to arrest pervs why didn't they wait unil the stall door was opened with Craig's willy waving in the wind. They were scaring off the pervs not wanting to arrest.

Sex is involved and sex sells baby. More titillating for the masses and esp for a liberal media going after a conservative "family-first" senator from a conservative state.
Sounds like a feeding frenzy to me

The media makes a big deal out of a disorderly conduct charge, but ignores a demo congressman who was involved in brides and the FBI found $60,000 in his freezer.
By the way he is on the homeland security committee, no censure, no penalty awaiting trail.
