P1401 DPF EGR Sensor Circuit High Input
Possible Causes
DPF EGR signal circuit open, or sensor ground circuit open
DPF EGR signal shorted to VREF or to VPWR
DPF EGR sensor is damaged or has failed
PCM has failed

Most likely a bad DPFE sensor. Fords are notorious for this.

That sensor called a (differential pressure flow sensor) or DPFE is connected to the egr passage way by two rubber hoses that tend to get old and crumble locate the egr valve and the tube going to the exhaust manifold the dpfe is either black with wires and two rubber hoses or aluminum with wires and two rubber hoses. Ford has better blue two layer silicone rubber hoses. Some times there different sizes.
