How come you can't change it at school?? If you have a heavy period, you shouldn't wear a pad for more than 1 1/2 hours. Yes, it is normal for your period to smell, but if it gets to the point where you can smell it and others around you can smell it, then you should change your pad more ofter.

I also can't use tampons, so I use pads. The bad smell is normal, and you do really need to change your pad every few hours. I don't understand why you can't change it in school. Every other girl and female teacher with periods does. I change my pad each time I go to the bathroom. Buy the ones that are individually wrapped and put one in your pocket and a few more in your bag/backpack. That's what we all do :o)

Honestly, I used to think that my period smelled so bad and everyone could tell, but really I was the only one who could smell it. It's just cause your thinking about it.
If you can't get the tampon in try using a mirror, you will look stupid doing it but almost everyone needs to at first and hey you'll be in your bathroom, no one will even know.

Well 1. Are you a virgin? cuz that's probably why the tampon isn't going in easily...just push a little harder, it might hurt a lil, but after you do it a couple times it doesn't, and 2. Do you use the odor neutralizer ones? or the ones with deodorant? cuz that might help...but if that doesn't help then you might have an infection.........well hope that helps =)

YES,ITS NORMAL TO HAVE A SMELLY PERIOD. U SHOULD BE ABLE TO CHANGE YOUR PAD DURING BREAKS AT SCHOOL. IF YOU CANT USE TAMPONS,TRY PUTTING A LUBRICANT ON THE TAMPON SO IT WILL GO IN EASIER,BUT CHANGE IT OFTEN TO AVOID GETTING TSS.

After 2 hours, no it’s not normal. Go see your doctor. Something could be wrong.
