Yes it is possible, but you have to buy an interface hardware,in order for you to have audio-video output as well as RF signal for your tv.. then it will cost you more than buying a new DVD player for your TV...

It is possible to connect your comp up to a TV as long as you have sound and video cards with the external connectors. You can use "headphone" plugs to phono plugs leads as long as your TV will take phono input (sound and video)- if it won't you need a phono to SCART adaptor. You will also have to adjust your picture resolution (in desktop - settings) 'cos a computer monitor is usually at a higher resolution than a TV screen. It is easiest to set up another user account(in Windows) with your reduced resolution for TV screen and log on that account when you want to play through a TV.

it's not possible.. aside from the physical player, you also would need to software that converts the digital signal on the disk into a video stream played on the tv.
