Some one, always used to thank me for giving him a best answer, till he stopped (thank god) because is stopped giving him best answers!!

sure, oftentimes! I Thank them fairly if i like the indoors maximum remark they write on an identical time as selecting the final answer! yet each so often whilst i'm not around for rather some time, i think its perhaps slightly too late to Thank them!

Not usually - unless I have something else to add to the answer I gave - I just added a comment to one with the name of a publisher & said thanks for the 10 points as well.

Yes, I do sometimes...but not every time. Can't really explain why...

Yes , I used to do it until " someone " who shall remain nameless told me that it wasn't necessary because it was "the best answer " !

i almost always do esp. when it's unexpected (when there're a few similar answers or i give a silly answer but still win) ...
