The thought that you could possibly make a difference in a person's life or here on Earth is motivating enough for me...What could be more fulfilling than knowing that because of your efforts you have made a difference...try doing some volunteer work; Habitat for Humanity, Coaching, Big Brothers Big Sister Foundation..I guarantee you will feel uplifted and like your old self in no time..
*Above all Think positive in everything you do and do not let yourself become negative in anyway..I highly believe that when you think in a negative way, you draw negative energy towards you..so when you feel you are about to become gloomy do something you love, play your favorite music, take a hike, enjoy the outdoors (nature),plant a garden, exercise, dance, read a good book, think about only positive things and you will attract that positive energy into your life...Best of luck!, remember this is truly a remarkable place and time we live in, enjoy it to the fullest!...

I find myself, and this is going to seem childlike, writing down goals for the year every New Years Eve. I don't drink so I see it as an alternative exercise. This year I made the goal of doing a 20 mile power walk in Lake Tahoe, CA. I am now fully trained for that event. Religiously, making it to the celestial kingdom motivates me, so I study the scriptures, go to church and help those in need. Has it been easy? NO! However, I try to look at the big picture when the going gets tough.

Curiosity. I'm always wondering what will happen next. But,many times I am also motivated by the future results of certain actions. For example, I'm not crazy about housework, but a clean house always makes me feel good. Paying bills, and doing grocery shopping are probably the most banal chores next to that, but I love it when the house is filled with food and there are no worries concerning household utilities nagging me.
But for the most part, I'm essentially motivated by "what will happen next"

i think seeing my progress , threw life, even if i havent fully reached all my goals, i see improvement, and this keeps me motivated to keep striving
its normal to go threw times when you are not inspired, perhaps you are tired, or just bored with some of the things you have done, try setting aside a certain limited amount of time each week to try something new, or pick up something you loved before,
make sure you are staying healthy physically, getting enough rest, and dealing with any major issues/problems in your life, these things being out of order often curtail motivation

I realize that life is only for today and I want to make the most of it.
I hope and count on being here tomorrow....but what if I'm not?
That's my motivator.

I was going to share my thoughts, but Lulu said it all so well. When you don't feel motivated in your life, try living for others. Give, give, give. You'll be amazed at what you get back. Best of luck to you my friend.
