Right, just recently my perineum is really sore and stinging alot. Nothing to do with pregnancy as i'm not and never been pregnant. It's really annoying me and i was wondering what the cause could be?. I do have sex but this never happened before so maybe another reason. and does any one know how to heal or how long it takes to heal?. thanks..xxxx:)

Try a little Neosporin and gently rub a little on the area to help relieve the discomfort. It has pain killer in it and would calm down the stinging.
When I searched the word, it says the area has a lot of nerves and that gentle, lubricated massage is beneficial .
When I was about 25, I actually got a boil in that area and had to go to the emergency room and then a hospital stay.
Yikes was that humiliating.
Have you used a mirror and really looked to see if something is happening? As a last resort you might need to see your Ob. Gyn. Good Luck.

You should clean the area with summers eve than put antibiotic cream on it.
