Do water bears live on lakes or seas?

I think you might mean "sea bear" instead of "water bear". The polar bear (Ursus Maritimus) is a "sea bear". Ursus Maritimus means “sea bear”.

Polar bears are, as we all know, large bears of the arctic areas, up to 3 metres in length.

Water bears, on the other hand are tiny arthropod like animals called tardigrades. They are somewhat smaller than polar bears, being only a millimetre or so in size.

There is no such thing as a bear, Ursus spp, named a water bear. Perhaps you could provide a little more information on your water bear.

However there are water bear from the Phylum Tardigrada. These do occur in almost all aquatic ecosystems.
