As a Senior Citizen, I can say that Medicaid, isn't helping my financial situation. I have a separate health insurance, but was forced, by the government, to take Medicaid. I really don't need it, as the other insurance would pay for all my health issues. Now both sides are in contention over which one is responsible for what bill.

If a bill is involved that the poor person must pay, then yes, this is the case. Medicaid is a government program and offers no benefits to beneficiaries. It is simply and clearly just a medical insurance. May we all have peace and God's blessings.

No. If you have medical insurance, you don't get Medicaid. The elderly are not poverty stricken. The US is the richest country on earth. There are some elderly people who are so rich, they are literally giving their money away. Warren Buffett is an example. Watch PBS and look at all of the family foundations who donate.

They can attach some assets, like a home, but everyone knows how to beat the law and make the taxpayers pay for their parents stay in a nursing home while they take off with the loot!

It is really fraud, and if they can afford their own care they should be the ones to pay it. Not us!

It is their children who are causing them to be "poverty" stricken!

No.
Medicaid is a Big Welfare Program.

And full of graft & corruption, like all Government Programs.
