try to use a plunger, if that doesnt work, get draino liquid gel, its like three bucks, the one that says for clogs, i had a really bad clog in my shower, i put it down the drain and left it there for like an hour or two. then rinse it down with really hot water. it should definitely work.

You probably have hair all caught up in there. this is a landlord's trick I learned when I paid a plumber. Take a screwdriver and take off the cover of the thingie on your tub that you use to pull stopper up and down. It is attached to a long bunch of metal stuff that gets all full of hair. Just pull it out, clean it and put it back like you took it out. Trust me. I don't know what everything is called but I know how to get the hair out so I don't have to call a plumber. And drano typically does not get the hair out of that thingie for some reason. If that doesn't work, then go for the drano because the stoppage is lower in the pipes. Also just check with your fingers for hair build up in the drain (before the drano). Next is snake. Next is plumber because the air vent or a pipe that you can't reach is stopped up. It's usually pretty simple to get the hair out. Then put some type of cover over the drain to catch your hair that you can easily clean so you don't get in that predicament again. Lots of Luck!

If its possible to take the plug out of the drain, you can get a snake and go threw as far as you can, but if yours is like most of them its hard to get the plug out. Try different kind of draino, if yours is like mine was, then there is tons of hair and nasty shiz down there, you can also use a plunger on it to try and move the stuff around and let the draino work a little better.

Sounds like it's clogged up with hair....and needs snaking. You can buy a small "drain snake" and do it your self OR go to a True Value type hardware store and buy something called UNSTOP IT.....it is very caustic and be careful you can't just slop it in the drain...or it will discolor it. READ ALL ITS DIRECTIONS BEFORE USING IT AND WAIT THE ALLOTED TIME BEFORE FLUSHING THROUGH. It's restaurant strength and will open up most any kind of drain.

step 1, remove cover plate from tub drain overflow. stuff wet cotton t-shirt into vertical hole in overflow. add enough water to tub to cover plunger ( red) bottom. plunge w/quick strokes for a little while. If that doesn't work, go to home depot/lowes/ or hardware store and buy 1/4" cable (snake) that is in spin type drum, remove t-shirt and put snake in vertical overflow til it won't go any furthur, tighten screw on snake ( where it comes out of drum) leave 1 ft out of drum, spin snake and push at same time, if you have 2nd person, 1 can spin and other can push snake cable thru drain. have fun, I always do but I have power snake

liquid plummer works better, but it sounds like you might want to get a drain snake at your local hardware and run it down through it. we use one for our drains once in awhile. thats what its called is a drain snake. or if you have a septic tank it could be starting to try and back up. if thats the case get you some rid-ex its great. if its to fasr backed up though you would have to have someone come out and suction you tank. good luck and i hope this helped.

Try using a snake first. If it doesn't work, hire a plumber. You have a bigger problem than drano can take care of.
