Technically yes but customs and excise go for the dealers on car boots etc. I think you'd get a slap on the wrists. Its certainly illegal to sell them - even from a Charity shop.
DVD's are cheap enough if you wait a while so why bother with dodgy pirate copies?

Possession's 9/10 of the law man... applies to everything: drugs, dvds, stolen goods. So yeah... it's illegal

Yes, and you shouldn't do it. The money loss doesn't affect the big business-they still get a fortune. It affects the lowly runner, and the film students trying desperately to break into the business, but can't because of the lack of training schemes and 'first rung' opportunities.

According to the "You Wouldn't Steal" thing on most newer DVD's it is Illegal to Sell them, but it is ALSO illegal to buy them or possess them... So, yeah..
