The naivety.

Being able to go to bed on a night with no other worries than the shadows on my walls and the creaky floorboards on the landing.

An adult's life is full of worries (paying mortgage, keeping a job etc) and fears (kids safety, growing old etc) that I would kill to get my childhood naivety back even for a week.

The ignorance would be bliss and a great holiday from the daily grind

My Mom, she was great. She was the parent who showed how much she cared and supported us and drove us to all of our swim meets across several states.
She spent so much of her time doing for us, I wish I could have her back and say "I really do appreciate this" instead of saying "she died before I was married and my kids were born."
