I don't believe anywhere in the guidelines it states that you have to be under a certain age to use YA. In fact there are some sections in YA which seem to be have been made for adults. Also I'd be careful about what I say, because one day you're going to blink and be 57 and you'll probably be using something similar to YA. I personally am glad that you have people of all ages here it helps you get different perspectives on things, and most old people are considered to be wise so it's nice to have them around sharing their wisdom.

No - its not fair that they didn't have a site like this in their time, so we really can't judge them.
If we turned old and they made something new, lets say Virtual Reality Systems, wouldn't we want to use it?
I thought the Internet was a free place. If anything, I applaud those old people that can use the Internet - it shows how they are coping to stick with technology. They can give a lot more greater answers due to their infinite experiences over their lifetimes.
Age discrimination should stop. We are all going to return back to the ground we came from one day. If you can't stand old people on Y! Answers, then I would suggest visiting: http://www.cartoonnetwork.com

Considering it was "old" people who came up with the ideas of computers and websites in the first place, that is a pretty arrogant question. And just what age is old? 30, 40? I remember when I thought 21 was old. Or when a 15 year old seemed like an old person. Being old is relative.

Tell me that again when you are forty plus see how it sounds on your lips then!
We may look old to you but in our hearts alot of us are still 18.
Time shows on your face but not necessarily on your views, interests and general outlook on life, Any how advice is best given by those of us that have lived through the problems that get asked! it would cut down greatly the quality of answers, to just glib text speak (sorry to those younger ones who have inteligence and common sense I know there are a lot of you out there)Who said it was created for young people anyway?
You can bet the ones that created it arent your age!

Honey, Yahoo was created for all ages and all races. You don't say what you class as old...but
Without the "old" people, some of your questions wouldn't get answered. Older people have a wealth of experience and wisdom - their input on Yahoo is important, and one day they will be the only ones that could give you the answer you seek, they've probably already given you advice in previous questions.
So sit and think before you say these things. .......if you have anymore questions, you just ask my dear.

I don't see anything wrong with it. The older generation has just the same amount of rights as us younger ones. Also they have more life experience and can help answer more questions.
I can't wait until I get older and I will go on as many SAGA holidays as I can. Live life while you are still capable.

You are such a twerp! Where'd you get the idea it was created for young people? Young people are ruining YA with their stupid questions and rude, uninformed, idiotic answers.
if you really want an answer get it from an "old" person.
What is old to you anyway? And how old (or young) are you?
It kills me to know your age will eventually be running the world one day and taking care of those around my age! We're doomed!

Think ahead. One day you will be old as well and I hope you are intelligent enough to keep up with new technology like us the OLD people are doing right now. I salute every senior person who is able to use the computer and is interested in Yahoo Q&A. Can you imagine how it would be without our answers, which are created out of life experiences..............

Not at all - they're the ones with all the free time, what's wrong with them surfing Yahoo Answers?
You don't get old people going on Club 18-30 holidays either - what's that got to do with it? The internet is not age-specific.
