I live in Central West NSW (north of Dubbo) and I have just purchased a well established Avocado plant - it is a Wurtz. As our soils our quite clay based, I think it would be best to plant it in a large pot. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Also, do I need a second tree for pollination?

Thanks, Toni F

You'll want to pot it so it can be brought inside during winter. They are tropical and do require male and female plants for polination.
