in our system, studying means full dedication to your courses. no student can find the time to do anything he/ she is interested in bec exams are like a competition in which those who get high grades can survive and the others have to think of survival strategies.
this doesnt mean that our graduates are the best. they are best only in what they are examined in.
there no place for a hobby or a practice like Y Q/A.
perhaps those who were good students and have lots of time at their disposal can be good in this practice. they ask or answer without feeling guilty of wating their precious time.

Well, there are 4 kinds of people;
1) The ones who are not seeking knowledge and they got them by accident during their lifetime
2) The one who are seeking knowledge and can not extract
them from their subconscious (all the knowledge and life’s experience are stored there)
3) The ones who are seeking knowledge, and able to extract them from the subconscious and use them (that will depend a lot on the source of the knowledge) .We call them ’ intelligent’
4) The ones who are seeking knowledge , can extract them from the subconscious , link them together in the conscious and process them according to the ethics , laws , personal orientation…etc, and develop new theories, or establish new trends,,, Those are’’ The Pioneers’’
There are ways to train our brains to extract knowledge, and ways to teach our conscious to conclude things. The first step always is how to collect knowledge…
It is a big mistake to think that studying is a way to collect knowledge, IN fact ,after the basic education which ends by high schools, studying has a complete different purpose,. We teach people then, How to Search For/ Find knowledge, and How to Process the knowledge
Knowledge and Basic facts are there in books, and now in the internet, we do not need the university students to know them by heart, we need the students to know how they can get them
Students-sometimes - do not recognize the aim of the high education, still they just know the limit purpose of it,(Not How to put a plan and search for knowledge) ,most of the time the teachers as well, Later they just can not extract the old knowledge they had, and not able to seek new ones
Other problem, ‘the source of the knowledge‘, in a closed dictatorship society, the source of knowledge could be fake, not to upset the system, and they always say (the more knowledge, the more burdens)…
We can add that, our conscious is always afraid to acquire knowledge which are not familiar or known by us, it is a way to protect the guidelines which are -already established in the conscious- not to collapse, and that is also an obstacle in -gaining knowledge - matrix
Anyway, I may be away, with my answer, from the question .I am taking the chance to explain to our students, the aim of their education,
As for me: I had 3 different university degrees, and a master degree in one of them Att first we do not see a relation among them, in a while we discover that all the science and knowledge actually are ONE,
All of them are from God, the source (God) is one, So, They are also ONE

yes, I was 7th on my class at graduation from Faculty of Engineering. Al7amdulellah.
I love the YA atmosphere, because you dont really get punished for not answering or if your answer or wrong ,..etc.
it is more friendly than the college life or death exam situations !!
