close to the edge of the screen. Are these dead pixels, and can it be fixed. This Laptop has been trouble from day one, and it is stilll under guarantee. After we had bought it, within a month it was sent back because it needed a new motherboard....What can be done about the lines, anyone know.........

its clalled a line fault and is a problem with the edge connector cable, get it fixed on guarentee asap

It's a defect in the chips that drive the rows and columns of the LCD panel.

Send it back under warranty.

If you are having constant problems just send it back and get your money back. Get a better laptop.

I don't think its pixels, as these would just be in small patches. Could be guide wires. Definitely get it looked at under the guarantee.

ya i hv same problem wit my laptop..it appeared ystrday the thin blue line is on right hand side running vertically..but mine is not in guarantee! n i guess u gona take it to repair cuz urs in guarantee so please let me know what the fault is ? so i can look around for possible solution! wud b of gr8 help!

get rid advent rubbish sounds like pixel probs and can be fixed but why bother if its garanteed take it back there are loads of deals on lptps of better quality like hp or sony trust me take it back and run with your cash but dnt run to pc world try comet nt currys, tesco's usually have some good deals free printers that type of thing

The screen is slowly dying... take it back and show them the fault, this is a problem which you cannot solve by yourself..
