put her in a semi upright position to sleep such as in a car seat. use a cool mist humidifier pointed at her head. suction bulb if the snot is really bad...but if you don't have to then don't since this can irritate the nasal lining.

Try: - Slightly elevating one end of his crib mattress (if he's in one yet). Put a pillow or something UNDER the mattress. - Saline nose drops and a bulb syringe to clean his nose and get rid of boogies - Humidifier (I use a cool mist one) Just keep up with this stuff and it should help bring him relief and decent restful sleep. He's too young for any cold medicines or vapor rub. Personally I wouldn't let it go more than one or two more days tops...then call your ped. Especially if he has a cough. My daughter had exactly the same symptoms, with no fever or change of appetite. Then she started wheezing and that threw up a red flag for me. Turned out she had RSV and pneumonia...I had NO idea! She's a very happy baby and gave me basically no signs, aside from typical cold symptoms. I was shocked and felt sooooo bad. She then had to go on antibiotics. Anyhoo I'm not saying that will happen with your son but just keep a close eye and take him right in if you feel you need to. Hope your little man feels better soon.

Try an elevate her if possible by propping up the cot mattress slightly at one end with a pillow/cushion but don't put a pillow under her or she could smother herself.
Also there is something you can get from the chemist called,
'Fess, little noses' . It comes with saline nose drops and an aspirator (i called it the sucker!) to suck the snot out of their nose. You just put 2-5drops of the saline in their nose, wait a minute and then use the 'sucker' to suck out the snot. Easy as pie but definately helps if you have an extra set of hands to help you. It loosens and thins nasal mucus, helps clear congestion, non-medicated and alcohol free.
I found it so so so handy when my then, 9wk old baby, got a cold and there is nothing else you can do. I still use it on him now and he is 2.5yrs old but can't blow his nose properly yet.
Try and see if your chemist has some. there are other brands as well that do the same thing.
Hope that helps you out.
Good luck and congrats on your baby!

I used infant saline drops on my baby when he was younger than 2 months. It is ok!
Go into a steamy bathroom. That helps also. Prop his mattress up when he sleeps at night. A few towels under the mattress will help. Good Luck!

My grandfather used to suck gunk out of our noses when we were little babies. I know it sounds gross but it used to work.
Because I couldn't stomach that with my own child, I used to put a few drops of eucalyptus on the sides of his pillow at night, and/or vicks on his feet and at the top of his jama top, or would put him in a steamy bathroom for a few minutes before putting him to bed with vicks on his feet.
Good luck, it must sound awful, I used to sit up all night checking to see if my son could breathe properly. Umm yeah, hi again, just wanted to clarify, I didn't smear my son with vicks or completely saturate his pillow with eucalyptus, like I said, just a small amount, yep it may irrate your little girl, but that is what worked for my boy in the absence of being able to give him medication. Good luck and hope your wee one gets better.

Infant Tylenol may help with inflammation of the nasal passages. Putting a humidifier in the room where she sleeps may also help her to breathe easier. Vicks vapor drops can be added to the water, which can also help open nasal passages. A nasal aspirator may also be helpful in removing excess mucous.

Yes, Saline drops are good, but, it's so sad to give them to your baby. They tend to choke on them as they run down the back of their throat.
You could try melting some vicks in some boiling water, and placing it in the room so that the scents evaporate throughout the room.
All the other advise you have got is great too!
Good luck.
