The Book is called "Revolve 2 - the complete new testament".
This is the new testament of the Bible printed in magazine form with lots of extras in it that is really great for your age group. It's designed like a fashion magazine and has lots of tips on general questions that girls your age ask all the time. It has a "Blab" section that discusses how to deal with certain situations in everyday life; has things like top 10 random cds to rock out to on pages; a calender of each month with tips of what you can do; short facts called "DIDYA KNOW?" which can be fascinating and lots of other fun things. Some writeups with headings as follows: "Is he a player?" "Are you too Body Conscious?" "Beauty Secrets" and much much more.
My daughter has one and really likes it and she is nearly 15 yrs old. Highly recomended. Good reading and very helpful tips on ways to deal with things in the teenage years. READ AND ENJOY!

The Devil Wears Prada... I missed the name of the author, but she came out with it before the movie so it must not be too bad!
Mysteries? The Janet Evanovich books about Stephanie Plum... they're a little scary sometimes but definitely about make-up and "boys." And more silly-funny than scary.

EDIT*** to ALL...watch out for some of those links, they have a virus here and there. I caught one the other day. (don't worry!!! it's all well now!!!)
