My first computer used both 3 and 5 inch floppies. I bet no one remember that the B drive was the 5" floppy drive and that why you never see new computer with a B drive

Yes! I remember having a computer that used the large floppy disks and the smaller ones, plus we had the printer with the paper where you have to tear off the perforated strips on both sides!

Yes a 360K Floppy and I remember an 8 inch floppy. it was huge but th drive I had broke doen so I never used them.

Do I have to admit it? Well as long as I'm confessing, I'll add that I've used punch cards and paper tape, and even breadboards with wires (made an analog computer if you know what that is). I was building "D2 kit" microcomputers with Motorola 6800 chips before they were used in any pre-built desktop computers....

... But that must've been in a past life, since I'm only 29 now

im 27 and i still remember floppy disks were the ones we used in high school. well, im in a different country.

...I'm old enough to remember "rotary dial telephones", black and white 5 inch TV screens with only "3" channels, gasoline for 15.9 a gallon and a pack of "smokes" for 10 cents... (the only thing that was "floppy" was....well, you'll figure that out)

Yes, they were invented by IBM and came in sizes 8" and 5.25", formats from the middle 1970s to the 1990's when they replaced by flash and optical storage drives.
