If your case could not even fit a Geforce 6600, most good or better cards won't fit either. Downgrading to the smaller budget cards would just make your PC gaming life miserable. Buy a new case. Most mid-tower cases would usually have enough space for big graphics cards.

you need to replace your case, if you are going to sell your card and buy a new one, the newer ones are bigger then the 6600 and they wont fit either!

is your video card new? if it old you cant put into the new case but u must buy a new video card :S i have builded my own computers but one thing make sure put video cards in easy. if u put the video card out hard the graphice can be alittle fuzzy sometimes or sometimes the screen turn purple. so new video cards must go easy it can go in brown or black slots case.

i'd ditch the card as i assume that the motherboard processor and memory is more expensive. Also you can update the card.
