Have a bath in warm water, drink a glass of warm milk and pray before you sleep. All this will calm and relax your body and mind. Think of good things or do deep breathing till you sleep off.

All the best, may you have the best of all dreams!!!

dreams are usually a reaction to the things we think about prior to falling asleep.
if a person has anxioty or is worried about something - this has a lot of influence on their dreams.
try before bed to read something hilariously funny or watch a nice movie, read a sweet, happy ending story. do not wathc scarry or horror movies right before bed.
another thing that helps me is to try think of all the wonderful things that happened to you the past day or exist in your life:
a great outing, birthday or event, family members you love, a great experience (sexual or other)
if it's a severe case -i.e. recurring at a worrying pace and bothering you from getting a good night's sleep - i'd seek professional help.

Take 10 minutes before you fall asleep to totally relax yourself and cleanse your mind of any thoughts. Don't watch tv because this will give you something to think about, don't read the paper because it's full of bad news. Just think about breathing and put yourself in a happy place!

Also, don't eat cheese before bed but have a mug of warm milk.

Investigate lucid dreaming. It might be a little weird at first because you'll be in a nightmare and it will feel just like real life does, but with the 'awareness' you should be able to find a way to make the dream pleasant.
